Rocky Motivational Speech

The last "Rocky" film directed by Sylvester Stallone. This clip features Rocky Balboa's inspirational speech to his son.

6 Critical Life Lessons

1. Run the Day

“Either you run the day or the day runs you.” ~Jim Rohn

It’s that simple, either you run your day or your day runs you. Either you say what’s going to happen or the events of the day will dictate to you what happens.
You must have a plan; you must have a track to run on. If you have no plan you will wander and you will accomplish a fraction of what you could have otherwise accomplished.
Decide to run your days; after all, they are your days.

2. Progress is Progress

“Even if you fall on your face, you’re still moving forward.” ~Victor Kiam

Les Brown said, “If you fall down, try to land on your back, because if you can look up, you can get up.” It’s okay to fail, it’s okay to fall down, this is how you learn to succeed. What if a small child, after stumbling 20 times said, “This ‘walking thing’ isn’t for me?”
Then he or she would never learn what is innate in them to do. They would never reach the potential that lies within them concerning mobility.
If you stumble, if you make a mistake, that’s okay. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and move forward until you succeed.

3. Expect Problems

“Expect problems and eat them for breakfast.” ~Alfred A. Montapert
Expect problems and then overcome them, go around them, jump over them, run through them, eat them up and spit them out. Pain is nothing to a giant. A problem isn’t a problem. It’s just a test to qualify you for the next level.
So pass the test!

4. Get into Action

“Do you want to know who you are? Don’t ask. Act! Action will delineate and define you.” ~Thomas Jefferson

Your actions define who you are; your actions bring to light your potential, your passion, and your power. Your actions reveal your difference, and it is your difference from others that are the foundation of your success. How are you different from others? Do you know?
Get into action so that you discover your difference, and use your difference to create your legacy.

5. Think Bigger

“Go big or go home. Because it’s true. What do you have to lose?” ~Eliza Dushku

Save little accomplishments for little people! If you’re going to do something, do it big! No guts, no glory. You have to push yourself beyond the little box that you’ve been trapped in, and you have to break the chains of mediocrity which seem to keep you bound.
Anyone can do something small. If you’re going to be a success, “Go big!”

6. Balance

“Follow your dreams, work hard, practice and persevere. Make sure you eat a variety of foods, get plenty of exercise and maintain a healthy lifestyle.” ~Sasha Cohen

My father use to say, “Balance is the key to life.” Any one extreme becomes a disadvantage. Work hard, but play hard. Life a healthy life that’s sustainable and you’ll be around long enough to turn the impossible, into the possible

Zig Ziglar’s Success Habits

Personal development icon Zig Ziglar said, “I’m a constant learner. You need to be a constant student because things change and you have to change and grow. And I emphasize the word grow,” he says. Here are Zig Ziglar’s five habits for your journey to the top:

1. Be a constant leader. Seek out information that you can learn and teach to others.

2. Encourage others and help them get what they want.

3. Express gratitude. “Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions,” Ziglar says. “The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for.”

4. Recognize the value of relationships and their role in creating balanced success.

5. Be consistent in your words and actions. “When you make a promise, keep it.”

The Trouble Tree

I hired a carpenter to help me restore an old farmhouse. He had just finished a rough first day on the job: a flat tire made him lose an hour of work, the electric saw quit and now his ancient pickup refused to start. While I drove him home, he sat in stony silence. On arriving, he invited me to meet his family.

As we walked toward the front door, he paused briefly at a small tree, touching the tips of the branches with both hands.

When opening the door, he underwent an amazing transformation. His tanned face was wreathed in smiles and he hugged his two small children and gave his wife a kiss.

Afterwards he walked me to the car. We passed the tree and my curiosity got the better of me. I asked him about what I had seen him do earlier.

"Oh, that's my trouble tree," he replied. "I know I can't help having troubles on the job, but one thing's for sure, troubles don't belong in the house with my wife and the children. So I just hang them up on the tree every night when I come home. Then in the morning I pick them up again."

"Funny thing is," he smiled, " when I come out in the morning to pick "em up, there ain't nearly as many as I remember hanging up the night before."

Learn To Control Your Anger - The Lesson: The Fence

There was a little boy with a bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, to hammer a nail in the back fence. The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Then it gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence.

Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper. The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone.

The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said, "You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry, the wound is still there.
" A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one."

Napoleon Hill-What the mind can conceive, believe & achieve.

SEE and HEAR Napoleon Hill explain how it is true that what ever the mind can conceive, and believe, the mind can achieve. Regardless of how many times you may have failed in the past, or how lofty your hopes may be. He breaks this down in easy to understand point form for immediate transformation of your life. He also talks about the wisdom billionaire Andrew Carnegie shared with him nearly hundred years ago, and how this information was instrumental in his own personal success, and the success techniques he was able to teach millions of others.

60 Valuable Tips for Personal Development

I know you want to be the best you can be. We all do. But sometimes we look for success in the wrong places or we try to achieve it in the wrong ways.

Here are 60 valuable Tips for personal development to help you stay on track:

1. The acquisition of knowledge doesn’t mean you’re growing. Growing happens when what you know changes how you live.

2. You can’t have good ideas unless you’re willing to generate a lot of bad ones.

3. A good idea without action is nothing at all.

4. It’s not so much about finding opportunities as it is about creating them.

5. 10% of our lives is decided by uncontrollable circumstances. 90% is decided by how we react to those circumstances.

6. What we don’t start today won’t be finished by tomorrow.

7. If you’re waiting for the perfect conditions, ideas or plans to get started, you’ll never achieve anything.

8. If you keep doing what you’re doing, you’ll keep getting what you’re getting.

9. Change is often resisted when it is needed the most.

10. Discipline is choosing what you want most over what you want right now.

11. The harder you work, the luckier you will become.

12. Kindness and hard work together will always carry you farther than intelligence.

13. Life is not easy, especially when you plan on achieving something worthwhile.

14. Tough times don’t last, but tough people do.

15. Lots of successful people have failed as many times as they have succeeded.

16. Nobody succeeds all by themselves.

17. Right now, there’s a lot you don’t know.

18. Having a plan, even a flawed one at first, is better than no plan at all.

19. In the beginning, you need to say “yes” to a lot of things to discover and establish your goals. Later on, you need to say “no” to a lot of things and concentrate on your goals.

20. No matter how you make a living or who you think you work for, you only work for one person, yourself. The big question is: What are you selling, and to whom?

21. We all have different strengths. What worked for someone else might not work for you.

22. To be great does not mean you have to dominate others. It means you have to dominate your own potential.

23. Being successful is a journey, not a destination.

24. Results are more important than the time it takes to achieve them.

25. Being busy and being productive are two different things.

26. Being happy and being successful are two different things.

27. You don’t have to settle. It’s simply a choice you make every day.

28. Life is full of opportunities to feel exactly the way you want to feel.

29. You have every right to be happy, but it’s up to YOU and only YOU to exercise that right.

30. You have the ability to clear negativity from your mind with a single thought.

31. We are all multi-dimensional human beings with simultaneous dimensions of success and failure in our lives.

32. Your success isn’t just about you. It’s about how you positively impact the lives around you.

33. Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain, and most fools do.

34. Holding onto anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else – you are the one who gets burned.

35. Life isn’t always logical.

36. When you spend time worrying, you’re simply using your imagination to create things you don’t want.

37. It’s usually only as good or as bad as you think it is.

38. There is a lesson in everything you do, and learning the lesson is how you move forward.

39. No matter how smart you are, you will make mistakes.

40. There’s no such thing as ‘risk free.’ Everything you do or don’t do has an inherent risk.

41. Saying “no” to the right people gives you the time and resources required to say “yes” to the right opportunities.

42. Just because you can doesn’t mean you should.

43. When you’re caught up in the moment and your emotions are soaring, you’re bound to make poor decisions.

44. Simplicity is often a major factor of success. But the process of simplifying things is rarely easy.

45. Cutting your losses is often better than the alternative.

46. It’s uncomfortable to challenge the status quo, but it’s worth it.

47. You can raise the bar or you can wait for others to raise it. Either way, it’s getting raised.

48. Oftentimes, the only reason they want you to fit in is that once you do they can ignore you and go about their business.

49. Confusion isn’t a bad thing. It means you’re growing and thinking.

50. When you see the world as it is, but insist on making it more like it could be, you matter.

51. When kids grow up wanting to be you, you matter.

52. Trying to be somebody you’re not is not sexy. Be you. That’s when you’re beautiful.

53. Good looks attracts the eyes. Personality attracts the heart.

54. Sometimes you just have to do your own thing your own way, no matter what anyone else thinks or says about you.

55. When you receive negative feedback, remember, it doesn’t matter how many people don’t get it, it matters how many do.

56. If you awake every morning with the thought that something wonderful will happen in your life today, and you pay close attention, you’ll often find that you’re right.

57. Truly ‘rich’ people need ‘less’ to be happy.

58. A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often and realize how fortunate you are right now.

59. If you want love, give love. If you want friends, be friendly. If you want money, provide value. It really is this simple.

60. If there was ever a moment to follow your passion and do something that matters to you, that moment is now.

And remember, the extra mile is the stretch of road that’s never crowded. As long as you follow your heart and never stop learning, you’ll turn not older, but newer every day.

7 Destructive Habits of Incompetent People‏

WARNING! If you want to have a fantastic life, never engage yourself in these 7 deadly habits that incompetent people do.

Number 1 - They Think, Say, & Do Negative Things

Yup. They see problems in every opportunity.
They complain that the sun is too hot. They cursed the rain for ruining their plans for the day. They blame the wind for ruining their hair.
They think that everyone is against them. They see the problems but never the solutions.
Every little bit of difficulty is exaggerated to the point of tragedy. They regard failures as catastrophes. They become discouraged easily instead of learning from their mistakes.
They never seem to move forward because they're always afraid to come out of their comfort zones.

Number 2 - They Act Before They Think
They move based on instinct or impulse. If they see something they like, they buy at once without any second thought.
Then they see something better. They regret & curse for not able to take advantage of the bargain.
Then they spend & spend again until nothing's left. They don't think about the future. What they're after is the pleasure they will experience at present.
They don't think about the consequences.

Number 3 - They Talk Much More Than They Listen

They want to be the star of the show. So they always engage in talks that would make them heroes, even to the point of lying.
Oftentimes they are not aware that what they're saying is not sensible anymore.
When other people advise them, they close their ears because they're too proud to admit their mistakes.
In their mind they're always correct. They reject suggestions because that will make them feel inferior.

Number 4 - They Give Up Easily

Successful people treat failures as stepping stones to success.
Incompetent ones call it quits upon recognizing the first signs of failure.
At first, they may be excited to start an endeavor. But then they lose interest fairly quickly, especially when they encounter errors.
Then they go & search for a new one. Same story & same results. Incompetent people don't have the persistence to go on and fulfill their dreams.

Number 5 - They Try to Bring Others Down To Their Level

Incompetent people envy other successful individuals. Instead of working hard to be like them, these incompetent ones spread rumors and try every dirty trick to bring them down.
They could've asked these successful ones nicely. But no, they're too proud. They don't want to ask advise. Moreover, they're too negative to accomplish anything.

Number 6 - They Waste Their Time

They don't know what to do next. They may just be contented on eating, watching TV, or worse, staring at the blank wall with no thoughts whatsoever to improve their lives.
It's perfectly fine to enjoy once in a while. But time should be managed efficiently in order to succeed. There should be a proper balance between work & pleasure.

Number 7 - They Take the Easy Way Out

If there are two roads to choose from, incompetent people would choose the wider road with less rewards than the narrower road with much better rewards at the end.
They don't want any suffering or hardship. They want a good life.
What these people don't know is that what you reap is what you sow. Efforts & action will not go unnoticed.
If only they would be willing to sacrifice a little, they would be much better off.
Successful people made it through trials & error. They never give up. They are willing to do everything necessary to achieve what they aspire for in life.

Improve Your Self Confidence in 15 Minutes

This article was written by Mark Tyrrell‏

I used to be frighteningly lacking in confidence in social situations. And although people who know me now would never believe it, I used to doubt myself so much that I literally had to learn confidence until it became a natural part of me. I can tell you: relaxed optimistic confidence is just, well, so much more fun! Here I'll tell you about the things that made the most difference to my confidence levels...

Some people have naturally high levels of confidence but everybody can learn to be more confident. Firstly, it's important to get a clear idea of what self confidence really means, otherwise you won't know when you've got it! So, self confidence means:

1. Being calm. For every situation in life you need to run on the appropriate level of emotion. Too much emotional 'leakage' into a experience can spoil the experience. You make great strides towards confidence when you begin to relax in a greater range of situations.

2. Being cool. The second part of self confidence is about being able to relax with uncertainty. To be 'cool' in a situation really means relaxing with not knowing how things will pan out. If you truly tolerate uncertainty, you can do pretty much anything.

3. Not being too concerned with what others think of you. You know when you imagine what some place is going to be like before you go there but when you get there it is totally different to your imagination? That's how reliable your imagination is! Stop trusting your imagination so much. I've long since stopped bothering to imagine what others think of me because so often I've turned out to be wrong.

4. Being specific - where do you want confidence? 'Confidence' is meaningless until you tie it to something specific. You are already confident that you can read these words or can switch a light on and off. So you don't need more confidence everywhere. To get what you want in life you have to establish exactly what you do want. Where do you want confidence in your life? Think about the specific situations now and write them down. You beginning to steer your brain towards confidence.

5. Understanding that what you expect is what you get. Your brain is an organ that needs clear goals to work towards. When a task has been set in your brain it will do everything it can do to bring about the completion of that task. If you've tried to recall someone's name but can't, hours later you'll often find their name pops into your head.

The 'trying to recall' experience set the task or blueprint for your brain's future subconscious behavior which eventually produced the name for you - when you weren't thinking about it consciously. You can use this natural mechanism to start feeling more confident. But, to ensure you set the right task for your subconscious mind, the next point is vital.

6. Don't task your mind with negatives. Instead of: 'I don't want to screw up' (which sets the task of 'screwing up' for your brain), set the blueprint for what you do want! Your brain doesn't work towards what to do by being told what not to do. And nature has given you a wonderful natural tool to set the right task blueprints with.

7. Use nature's goal-setter: Now you understand how vital it is to set the right task for you brain, you need to know how to do this reliably. Good hypnosis will strongly 'program' the right blueprint in your mind through the use of your imagination. If you powerfully imagine feeling confident and relaxed while in a relaxed hypnotic state it will be hard for your unconscious mind to do anything else. The blueprint for relaxation has been set firmly into your subconscious mind.

3 simple strategies to get you feeling confident quickly:

1. Think specifically of the time/place/situation you want to feel confident in. Remember 'confidence' doesn't mean anything until you attach it to something specific.

2. Focus on words in your mind right now that describe how you do want to be in that time and place. Maybe words such as 'calm', 'relaxed' or 'focused'. Remember your brain works on clear positive instructions.

3. Close your eyes for as long as you like and think about how those words feel. Then, imagine the situation itself and rehearse it in your mind feeling confident and relaxed. This way you set the right blueprint or 'task' for your unconscious mind.

You can repeat this often to make it more effective and use it with as many areas of your life as you need to. If you listen to a hypnotic cd or download that can make the benefits even more powerful. So if you feel like you'd be blessed with less confidence than some other people you can start redressing the balance by using your mind in the right way right now.

It took me years to learn how to be more confident - now you can do it in a fraction of the time. Good luck!

BE A LAKE!‏

The old Master instructed the unhappy young man to put a handful of salt in a glass of water and then to drink it. “How does it taste?” the Master asked. “Awful,” spat the apprentice.

The Master chuckled and then asked the young man to take another handful of salt and put it in the lake. The two walked in silence to the nearby lake and when the apprentice swirled his handful of salt into the lake, the old man said, “Now drink from the lake.”

As the water dripped down the young man’s chin, the Master asked, “How does it taste?” “Good!” remarked the apprentice. “Do you taste the salt?” asked the Master. “No,” said the young man. The Master sat beside this troubled young man, took his hands, and said, “The pain of life is pure salt; no more, no less. The amount of pain in life remains the same, exactly the same. But the amount we taste the ‘pain’ depends on the container we put it into.”

The Moral: My dear friends, when you are in pain, the only thing you can do is to enlarge your sense of things... “Stop being a glass. Become a lake!”

Giving 100% at your work

I believe always try to deliver more than you are paid for. Try to expand your scope of work, proactively take new projects, try innovate things, strive for continuous improvement. When you try to give more than 100% every day you will see the remarkable difference.

It will increase your confidence, improve your self image and creates a wonderful sense of achievement.

By doing more you increase your chances of promotion and you will see that when opportunities comes, there is a higher position available, you will be the first choice of your management.

People who tend to do less by justifying that with all that my company pays this level of work is more than enough, why should i do more end up with frustration. They develop the habit to remaining idle, force their mind to become habitual of doing only routine, their confidence, their self image, their energy level all deteriorates with passage of time and they destroy their future with their own hands without even realizing how they are killing the opportunities and their future.

So always try to do more than 100% everyday, more than you are paid for and more than your JD requires and then see how your luck gets activated :-)

Have a Blessed day ahead.

My definition of Optimism & Pessimism

Well I believe that optimism & pessimism both are two sides of same coin. Every single being experience both these states at some time in their life. These two states are meaningless without considering their impact on the person experiencing them. The "Impact" is the main thing. Suppose a person is optimist about something that this will happen or I will get this and he/she gets relaxed and their effort reduces then such optimism is also harmful. On the other hand if there is a pessimist person and he fears that upcoming storm will destroy his harvest or kill his animals and he built shelter of his animals and proper storage for his harvest before the storm actually hit, in that case the pessimism is good.

I believe that everything in moderation helps us in one way or another. It is the extremes that are dangerous.

Optimism for me is anything that helps me to take preventive & corrective measures, provide me strength to face the challenges of life; something that fuels me makes me courageous, gives me confidence and protects my will.

Pessimism is anything that paralyzes me from taking the required actions, which create so much fear and worry that it blinds me of the opportunities & solution. It’s something that strikes to weaken my belief on possibilities and blessing of Allah, something that can trigger negative though patterns and negatively impact my self image.

Have a blessed day ahead.

Your problem is never really your problem. Your reaction to your problem is your problem.

Mostly the only thing that we tend to do about our problems is to complain, cry or worry about them. But neither of them helps us in any way. Complaining to others about our problems, doing continuous brain storming about who is behind all this, how they are trying to harm us, how circumstances are not in our favor, how our limited resources create barriers between us and our dream, how we so wanted to do something but things are never perfect to provide the support for commencement and so on.

We tend to focus so much on the problem that it blinds us of all the possible solution and rob us of the energy that we could use to solve them. It’s like if you hold a piece of paper at arms length you can see the surrounding too but if you bring it too close to your eyes then the only thing visible is that piece of paper, same is the case with problems if you keep them at particular distance and analyze them you can easily solve them but instead if you keep on thinking and worrying about them then they paralyze you.

No problem is powerful enough to impact us for prolonged period of time or that have power to hurt us to greater extend. It is our inaction and inability towards them that causes such results. Our constant worries and fear fuel them and give them power to defeat us.

If in adverse circumstances we act with responsibility, maintain our courage, our faith then we can use our energies in finding solutions and implementing them. With some brain storming and strategy we can we use the same problem to work in our favor and we can develop a staircase of success from it.

So next time you are facing some problem instead of worrying try to control your reaction towards it, refuse to worry or allow that problem to paralyze you and instead focus on all the possible solutions and the best that you can do and then do it.

With this one change you will see that every thing will change and you will emerge as problem solver and next success story in town.

Have a blessed day ahead.

The Key

All locks in this world have their key. Sometimes it remains with the lock and sometimes due to certain events, circumstances both are separated but still there was never a lock made in the history without its key.

Same is the case with the problems, every problem no matter how small or big have its solution nearby. For the same reason it is said that “Problems are blessing in disguise”. and these problems sometimes triggers us, sometimes force us to move out of our comfort zone, from our daily routine, from our routine thought patterns and force us to look for solutions, the solutions that are nearby and waiting anxiously for the eye to see them, interpret them and implement them.

But sadly most of us under estimate the power of these problems and tend to get depressed, stressed and simply freak out, start complaining that ohhh God why me? Why this is happening to me? Why people do this to me? Why every time it’s me? And these complain and urge to put the blame on other and feel our self as victim of situation/circumstance overcome us. The result of all this as expected is we loose our self confidence; our self image starts deteriorating, our relations, our work, our health every thing suffers and quality of life goes down and down. The consequences of problems unattended start to emerge and then there is never ending circle to problems starts to emerge.

However if in same situation we maintain our faith in blessing of our creator and keep in mind that He said “No burden will be put on any person that he can not handle” or in other words no one will be tested beyond his limits, meaning that if we are in a tough situation or some problems then it’s an indication to open our eyes and look for solution around us, the solution that is waiting anxiously to be seen. All we need is look of faith, faith in our creator and faith in His confidence in us that yes we can do this, yes we can handle this and that no matter what His blessings, His support & His help in all means is with us and we have the abilities and potential to tackle and defeat this problem and adverse circumstances.

Faith is a magical thing, as soon you develop this it increases your confidence, gives you surplus amount of energy, triggers your creativity, make you courageous, brave enough to face anything, to defeat all sort of problems and adverse circumstances and emerge as winners in all walks of life.

So next time you our in such situation remember my words please don’t doubt your potentials or think about quitting or feel as if you if are victim but instead keep faith, smile and face the problem and see the miracles that how key to solve all your problems, the key to success will come in your hands.

Have a blessed day ahead.

Tea Bag & Us

I believe that majority of us have used tea bags at some time in life. There is one very interesting factor about these tea bags that reflects one of the most important factor of our daily life.

If you put these tea bags in normal or cold water nothing worth drinking will be made however when you put the same bag in the hot water it turns into some thing better, some things that gives us extra energy and wakes our mind.

Same is the case with us; in normal course of life we are relaxed in our comfort zones. Each day the same circle of events and activities is repeated for majority of us and we are happy and comfortable. Very few of us try to do something extra or to groom our self by learning new skills or try to tap our underutilized potentials. We are happy with our daily routine, enjoying the calm pace and even if we are not happy or satisfied with something in our life we only worry about it, complain, find out the persons to put blame on for our miseries but take no step to change. How many of you have experienced this things and how often? It’s just like putting our self in normal or cold water i.e. our comfort zone and creates barriers for our self to become something better.

Then out of no where something so powerful happens that shakes our life rigorously. It’s like some one have forcefully dragged us out of our comfort zone and put us in roller coaster of life. It’s indication that now it’s high time that we should make some required changes and tap our underutilized potentials. We are in the hot water now.

It’s the time when our survival becomes our first priority and we have no choice left but to get in the driving seat and take control. It is at these times that under pressure we take our selves beyond our limitations, we challenge our self to do something more, something better and hence end up tapping on our new potentials, in activating the dormant abilities and if at such times we maintain our faith, our courage and persistently try to overcome these times we end up becoming someone better, someone more capable that not only surprises others around us but also us and we stand there totally amazed thinking wow it’s me, I have done this :-)

Never consider tough times as your enemy or feel as if you are victim. These times are blessing in disguise and if handled positively can help us to create marvelous life of our self and for all others associated with us in some way.

So the next time life puts you in Hot water, instead of complaining and looking for external help try to get in the driving seat and allow miracles to happen.

 Have a blessed day ahead.

Thirsty crow from my childhood memories

I was very fond of listening to stories in my childhood and my mother used to narrate a new one each day till I was able to read myself. One of those stories was about a “Thirsty Crow”. The story was like this:

“On one hot summer day a crow was flying in search of water for an hour or so. He was praying to Allah to help him. Suddenly a container with some water caught his eye and he dived towards it. On coming close he realized that container had long narrow top and level of water was quite low. It was not possible for him to reach the water level and drink it. But instead of complaining to Allah and getting discouraged he maintained his faith and look around. He looked around and saw some stones nearby. He started picking and dropping the stones in the container, the water level started to rise and finally it was in crow’s reach. He drank water and thanking Allah who helped him to fulfill his need flew away calmly”

If we try to relate to this story we will realize that many times we are in same situation like this thirsty crow. When we need something badly, we pray so that we can be blessed with it and our prayers do get answered but when we are shown the container with low level of water we instead of looking with faith and thinking why this container was shown to us our mind goes to limitations and we start complaining that why me? Why can’t I have water (what we need)? It was given to others but why not to me? And the long list of complains goes on & on.

How many times do we look around with faith, believing that if I am in this situation and container is shown to me then it means solution is also nearby. I simply need to put in the little effort and make optimum use of available resources. Sadly very few of us think like this and this is the factor that marks the line between achievers and quitters, winners & losers.

Look at the life of all successful people and you will identify the similar pattern that in circumstances when all others quit believing that there is no hope, no solution or no opportunity these people tend to hang in there a little more, maintained their faith and made optimum use of all available resources and emerged as winner.

Next time when you are in a situation where it seems that you are surrounded by darkness, problems and nothing seems to work out then try to look around with faith, faith in yourself that you can overcome this no matter what, faith in unlimited blessings of Allah that He is with you and will help you. You just need to look with faith and the answers will start to appear and you will find the required solution.

May Allah help you to maintain faith in yourself and Allah’s blessings and help you to emerge as winner in all walks of life (Ameen)

Have a blessed day ahead.

The Required Step

Few days back a friend of mine shared a joke that opened doors to new thoughts for me. The joke was:

There was a sardar jee who led a pious life, he always helped others, protect himself from sins and was considered as a very nice man. This sarder Jee through out his life prayed for only one thing that is “ Ohhh Lord please make me win the lottery”. But sadly he never won and died with his dream. When angels brought him before Lord, sardar jee was very angry and even expressed this to Lord that “I led the life as per your instructions, never did anything wrong nor hurt anyone and in return through out my life I just asked for one thing and you didn’t even blessed me with it”. On hearing this Lord smiled and said: “My dear being I approved your prayer on the very first time you asked for it”. Sardar jee was startled. He said “Then how come I never won”. Lord smiled again and said “My dear for that you need to buy a lottery ticket that you never did in your life”.

This is the dilemma of our life too. We see dreams and pray for them to come true and when things don’t happen as per our expectations or as per our dreams we start complaining “why it happened to me”, “why my prayers are not answered”, “why it’s always me who don’t get the desired thing” and so on un ending chain of whys?.

But we never tend to think that what were the factors that stopped us. Stopped us from turning our dreams into reality & from our prayers being answered. Do some self analysis and you will find out that more than 80% of the times it’s because we never take the required step, we never buy the lottery ticket that was necessary to reflect the results of our prayers.

These days many people are talking about “Law of Attraction”. Some believe it’s true and they narrate their success stories and others say please give me a break, this is not reality. Why there is difference in thoughts of these two groups?, law is same but results are different? It’s because their approach is different. One group think about things they want and work for them and in the end they attract it and achieve it while on the other hand the second group only think about their dreams and never take the required action. And only this thing makes their realties different.

Even the word “Attraction:” explains the same thing

Attraction = Attract +Action

Means in order to attract what you want take some action. If you want to loose weight then start exercise, if you want to be businessman then start some business, if you want to become doctor start studying and so on.

Next time when you dream have faith that it can be turned into reality and do take the required step and you will start seeing the patterns of small success that will follow taking you towards your desired destination.

I will end this note with a request:

“Please don’t kill your future with the sword of inaction used today”

Have a very day ahead.

It all Matters

Today morning I was waking up my younger brother and he said “Please let me sleep for another 5 minutes, it will make no difference”. For many of you it might seem an ordinary answer but God knows how this simple reply triggered my thought process.

We tend to take few minutes & few times for granted most of time. Sometimes it’s when we have to wake up in morning, sometime we tend to just kill our time by either switching TV channels aimlessly or in roaming around, similarly few times also seem pretty okay when it comes to over speeding, late sitting, eating unhealthy food, smoking few cigarettes, getting angry occasionally and so on.

When we tend to take things so casually we deny their power to impact us, these small things neglected few times tends to make a big difference in our life. Any activity carried out just few harmless times can result in becoming our habit. A few minutes wasted aimlessly when compiled over a life time of a person are equivalent to many days. Few harmless minutes accumulated together can create disasters. To give an example if you move your fingers through the flame of burning candle with speed nothing will happen and your finger will remain un harmed but if you hold it there just for few minutes it will end up in burning your finger.

It’s these small things and few things left unattended in our life that create big differences like it was said:

“A small hole left un attended can sink a big ship”

When it comes to expenses we tend to control the big ones but take small ones very casually. Most of our money is spend on these small things and most of the time, when we don’t even need them. At the end of month just try to roughly calculate how much these apparently small expenses cost you through out the month. Surprised?

To cut it short try to take care of small things in your life and you will see the BIG difference in your quality of life and next time you tend to thing few minutes, few times and few rupees won’t matter please remember that

“It all does matter”

Try to go home on time few times and see the improvement in your relations, try to appreciate someone few times and see the impact on that person, try to avoid few cigarettes and see the impact on your health, try to avoid killing few minutes and see the increase in your productivity, try to save the few rupees spend on things not needed and see the impact on your bank balance and last but not the least try to remember Allah few times a day and see how your life will change.

Have a blessed day ahead.
