Importance of little "C" between "B" & "D"

A while ago I read below quote on facebook that triggered a new string of thoughts. I was amazed at the simplicity with which such important fact was said.

Think for a second how important this little "C" is. It shapes our whole life, each and every choice that we make is a building block of our future. Sometimes these choices are conscious and some times unconscious. A choice to wake up early in morning can save your from lot of hassle, on the other hand a choice to sleep just 10 minutes more turn a calm start of a day into a roller coaster ride. A choice to start working from first day can save you from tension and anxiety of 11th hour work plans.

Close your eyes and think about how your past choices, even the small ones shaped up your present life. Instead of playing a blame game and hiding behind mistakes of other and cursing the faith try to analyze the situation honestly and you will see your own role in whole situation. Your role that was either active choice or passively agreeing to what others said but it was always about your own "Choice". Just like a painter you selected the brush with which you painted your life, the colors that you picked and the strokes that you made were all your own choice

If you are not happy with your current life or circumstance try making some new choices, a choice to change, a choice to take action, a choice to actively play your role, a choice to turn the course of your life.

Wish you lots of luck for making wise and valuable choices.

Have a nice day ahead.

Short note of the Day

"If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put foundations under them." Henry David Thoreau

That's why dreams are always symbolized with the cloud, a cloud that is waiting to shower success and Allah's blessing on us after getting the signal of faith and power of persistence from our side and as soon as this shower is complete our dreams are in front of us in real physical existence and sun of success smiling and shining above our head in the sky.

Respecting Parents

I have been observing some thing from last couple of years that hurt me a lot. Our Parents sacrifice there happiness, their needs, their comforts and above all precious years of their life for us. At each stage of life their children are their first priority. Right from the day they are blessed with parenthood their life change completely, the only thing that matters most is their Children.

But sadly when parents get old and time comes that their children support them all there dreams and hopes are shattered. For children they are burden, last priority, a responsibility from which they always tries to shy away.

This ignorant attitude towards parents is not our tradition or part of our upbringing. We all are blessed with mind that is capable to differentiate between right & wrong. When with countless efforts of our parents and blessings of Allah we get good jobs and starts earning we should always keep in mind that what we are today is only because of our parents.

When we can tolerate other people even when they are wrong, when we can listen to others without arguing, when we can respect & love others in all circumstances then why not our parents? They deserve our attention, our love, our concern more than anyone else.

It's my request to all my readers to love & respect your parents, don't shout or misbehave with them. Try to give them time, try to show them how much they mean to you, how much you love them. Start doing so now as you don't know when this precious time is over and then you will regret.

Have a nice day ahead.

Ignored Blessings!!

Yesterday I realized strongly that there are so many blessings of Allah that we never thank for and while complaining about mishaps & hardships we always tend to forget thanking for them first. We are so used to them that we started taking them for granted. Like our eye sight, ability to use our hands normally, ability to walk, ability to listen, ability to talk, ability to eat normally, ability to breath normally, ability to think and so many others. We are using most of them in each minute of our life but when it comes to thank for blessings most of us sadly say “I am not blessed like other”. They don’t even count these as blessings.

Just imagine if anyone of these is not working for sometime due to some injury or any other medical reason our whole routine is disturbed and we are not even able to carry out our daily task properly.

It’s my request to all readers to stop complaining about hardships and start thanking for these small blessings and you will see the difference and peace in your life.

Even Allah Himself explained this in Quran in Surah Ibrahim Ayat 7 that:

“(Recall the time) when your Lord declared, .If you express gratitude, I shall certainly give you more, and if you are ungrateful, then My punishment is severe”

Giving 100% at your work

I believe always try to deliver more than you are paid for. Try to expand your scope of work, proactively take new projects, try innovate things, strive for continuous improvement. When you try to give more than 100% every day you will see the remarkable difference.

It will increase your confidence, improve your self image and creates a wonderful sense of achievement.

By doing more you increase your chances of promotion and you will see that when opportunities comes, there is a higher position available, you will be the first choice of your management.

People who tend to do less by justifying that with all that my company pays this level of work is more than enough, why should i do more end up with frustration. They develop the habit to remaining idle, force their mind to become habitual of doing only routine, their confidence, their self image, their energy level all deteriorates with passage of time and they destroy their future with their own hands without even realizing how they are killing the opportunities and their future.

So always try to do more than 100% everyday, more than you are paid for and more than your JD requires and then see how your luck gets activated :-)

Have a Blessed day ahead.
