24 INTERLUDES OF LIFE

  • Don't go for looks, they can deceive. Don't go for wealth even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile.
  • There are moments in life when you really miss someone that you want to pick them up from your dreams and hug them. Hope you dream of that someone.
  • Dream what you want to dream, go where you want to go, be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want in life.
  • May you have...Enough happiness to make you sweet........Enough trials to make you strong............Enough sorrow to keep you human............Enough hope to make you happyAnd............. enough money to buy gifts.
  • When one door of happiness closes, another opens. But we often took so long at the closed door, that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.
  • The best kind of friend is the one you could sit on a porch, swing with, never saying a word and then walk away feeling like that was the best conversation you've had.
  • It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.
  • Always put yourself in other's shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably does hurt the person too.
  • A careless word may kindle a strife;A cruel word may wreck a life..........A timely word may level stress.................A lovely word may heal and bless.
  • The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves and not to twist them with our own image, otherwise we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them.
  • The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything, they just make the most of everything that comes along the way.
  • Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we should know how to be grateful for that gift.
It takes a minute to have a crush on someone, an hour to like someone and a day to love someone - but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.
  • Happiness lies for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched and those who have tried. For only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives.
  • Love is when you take away the feeling, the passion, the romance and find out you still care for that person.
  • A sad thing about life is that when you meet someone who means a lot to you only to find out in the end that it was never bound to be and you just have to let go.
  • Love starts with a smile, develops with a kiss and ends with a tear.
  • Love comes to those who still hope even though they've been disappointed, to those who still believe even though they've been betrayed, need to love those who still love, even though they've been hurt before.
  • It hurts to love someone, and not to be loved in return but what is most painful is to love someone and never finds the courage to let the person know how you feel.
  • The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past. You can't go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.
  • Never say goodbye when you still want to try;Never give up when you still feel you can take it;Never say you don't love that person anymore when you can't let go.
  • Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they'll love you back. Don't expect love in return, just wait for it to grow in their hearts but if it doesn't, be content it grew in yours.
  • There are things you love to hear but you would never hear it from the person whom you would like to hear it from, but don't be deaf to hear it from the person who says it with his heart.
  • When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling Live your life to the fullest so that when you die, you're smiling and everyone around you is crying.

Strength from Adversity

A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared, he sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole.
Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it could go no farther.

Then the man decided to help the butterfly, so he took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly emerged easily. But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings.

The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time.
Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It was never able to fly.

What the man in his kindness and haste did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were God's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.

Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If God allowed us to go through our life without any obstacles it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as what we could have been. And we could never fly.

The Power Of Thought

"Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny."
Frank Outlaw

"Thought is at the bottom of each progress or retrogression, of all success or failure, of all is desirable or undesirable in human life. The type of thoughts we entertain both creates and draws conditions that crystallize about it, conditions exactly the same in nature as is the thought that gives them form, thoughts are forces and each create of its kind, whether we realize it of not. Like creates like, and like attracts like. And it is continuously working in every human life."
James Allen Wallace

What we think, believe and imagine about ourselves determines exactly our personality and the security with which we cope with life. All thoughts we retain in our minds influence our personality and motives. The more we hold them, the stronger they become and the more they control our actions. Thoughts of insecurity, uncertainty, fear, and failure build a weak, negative and insecure mind, therefore a weak personality.

Be sure about yourself, or better yet be confident, for it is the main and first step all of us need to acquire what we want. Being confident consists of believing in yourself - that you are sure you will achieve whatever you set in your mind, regardless of all the obstacles you have in front of you, even if we don't have the required tools. Attitude is everything!

All the knowledge or education you acquire doesn't matter, if you don't trust and believe in yourself. All you pretend to do or obtain will be in vain. Maybe think of it this way: a car's wheels are to the tires what confidence is to our achievements.

Take control of your life! Monitor, constantly and daily, your thoughts and guide them toward your goals. Never, never accept, (not even for a second) negative thoughts that take you away from your peace, happiness and your dreams.

People only see what they are prepared to see."
Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Nothing is Impossible to a willing Heart" is a sentence that am listening since i was a liltle girl. Every time I complain about something not happening the way I want or the bottle necks am facing my Mother always say stop focusing on why you can't do it and start thinking how you can :) and today am happy that I followed her advise and develop a problem solving attitude.

This one advise helped me at all stages of life as whenever i was stuck in something or some one says "Hey, you wasting time this can't be done" I always smile and quote one of my favorite quotation that "There is no Lock without a Key and there is no problem without a solution" and the mere thought of turning the "Impossible" to "I am Possible" provides all the energy that is required to complete the required task.

I still remember that when I took admission in ICMAP friends and relatives used to say It's difficult, you don't have commerce background, you are wasting your time. There was a time in First semester when one of my teacher refuse to answer my questions by saying if you don't have a commerce background that not my fault I am not going to explain such basic things. That when I came back home I was crying when my mother asked what happen she said:

"Listen today is one of the most important day in your life coz either you are decide to quit and prove that all others were right when they say you are wasting your time or you take it as a challenge and so the world that you are capable to doing everything that you want to do but always remember that this decision will impact all the coming day for your life"
It was her words that gave me strength and i decide to take it as a challenge. Used to spend hours and hours in library, studied all night. Within 2 months we had our First Test. On the result day our teacher started announcing result he said that there was one paper that shocked him and he will discuss it at end. He started from lowest scorer and moved towards highest. With each announcement my heartbeat was getting faster and faster and there was time when only two students were left and he announced the result of other one and the only person remaining was me, the feeling at that point was so intense that i can't explain it in words. I imagined all the worst things that i might have done something terribly wrong and at point I heard my teacher praising me that I scored highest marks and he rechecked my paper twice and was shocked that how can someone without commerce background can out pass all other :D
From that day onwards the same teacher that scolded me on asking question started quoting my example that Be like Her :D
This is one small incident of my life where mere strength of willpower and determination not only increased my confidence in my abilities but once again also prove my mother's word that "Nothing is Impossible to a willing Heart".
One advise that i would like to give to all my friends is that Never ever ever under estimate your potential each of us is capable of achieveing all that we want to and only two things that are required to turn our dreams into reality are believe in one's potential and strong will to do it.
Besk of Luck to all for making the impossibles in your life possible and always remember that EVERY THING IS ACHIEVABLE.

Turn Problems into Power and Potential!

"The things which hurt, instruct."
Benjamin Franklin
How do you respond to the problems that continually surface in your life?

If you're like most people, you feel victimized. Moaning "Poor me," we get angry, impatient, depressed and stuck. We think problems spoil what life OUGHT to be. And we do whatever we can to avoid the pain.

For those of us on a spiritual path, problems and blocks are precious gifts that open the door to deeper self-knowledge. Through them, we can identify and release the unconscious fears and negative beliefs that hold us back from higher consciousness.

So what are problems or blocks? From a spiritual perspective, they block the natural flow of energy through our being, creating stress and pain. Operating in the mental, emotional and physical realms, they indicate that something within us is out of alignment with the true nature of who we are - our spiritual nature.

Problems involve two different aspects of our human make-up:

1. Much of our behaviour is governed by our subconscious mind according to our beliefs and habitual patterns and reactions. Unfortunately, we are generally unconscious of the beliefs that sabotage the best intentions of our conscious mind.

2. We also have both a personality governed by our ego and a higher mind or soul. We see the soul as a unique expression of the divine that bridges our individual physical being with the almighty power, whatever you understand that to be. As human beings, we all have some understanding of our personalities. Most of us, though, have a limited awareness of our souls.
When we are willing to face and work through our problems, we become conscious of what is now unconscious in us. We begin to see our shadow side, the dark and unknown parts of our psyche that reside in our subconscious mind. We begin to see the beliefs, misinformation and defence mechanisms we carry that no longer serve us.

We also become aware of the divine side of our nature for at the root of every block lies a soul quality seeking expression. Our ultimate aim is to embrace the opposing forces within us, the "bad" and the "good," and bring them together in wholeness. This is transformation.
From the spiritual perspective, blocks offer our best and perhaps our only path to growth. Paradoxically, we can only get to the positive through the negative. Like it or not, pain gets our attention. Pain also challenges the ego's perception that it is in complete control of life. If we want to be rid of the pain, we must do the work that leads us to greater consciousness.

So there are great blessings in problems. Our troubles come to us for good reasons -- to invite us to connect with our souls and to learn more about who we are. And we are wise to accept the invitation. If we deny the pain and strive to avoid it, the problems will keep on coming, and they'll be even more painful.

Our lives change when we become conscious that every experience of resistance and fear has meaning and purpose. Working purposefully through our problems helps us become whole and healthy. Through them, we awaken to and can genuinely express new and more powerful aspects of ourselves.

"In school you get the lesson and then take the test...
In life you take the test and then get the lesson."

Professional Fulfillment – Achieving Career Goals Along The Professional Road

One of the biggest decisions an individual makes in his life is the source of livelihood or the profession. You may be in a job that you despise, or you may love what you do right now. The fact is that our career may change over our lifetime, but our passions and career ambitions should never change. It is strange, rather disturbing how a number of professionals fail to achieve success in their careers, simply because they have never taken time out to analyze their success rate and to create a plan to get there. Even though luck and circumstance can play a major role along the way, however, the road to success is not so unpredictable. Successful professionals who are able to sustain their success have a vision, a planned strategy and they work very hard and smart to grasp their success.

It has been observed that the most productive and enthusiastic employees are those who find professional fulfillment in their job. Creating the right sort of culture, ensuring effective two-way-communication and matching the right people to the right jobs can have an enormous impact on employee satisfaction and their sense of fulfillment. That in turn impacts on the quality of their performance and on the maintenance figures both of which have a direct impact on productivity and profits.

Following are some ways to create the sort of approach that can strengthen a sense of fulfillment for individuals within an organization. None of them are so complex, but each professional approach can have a profound impact on the way people feel about their work and their performance.

Professional Fulfillment Guidelines

  1. Goal Setting: The most certain way to achieve professional goals is to set them in the first place. Decide what your priorities and goals in professional life are before you move towards your specific career goals. You will damage your career success if your goals in other areas of your life contradict or conflict. Moreover, if you set too many goals, you will also sabotage your chances of success; instead, focus on a few clear and achievable ones that you are enthusiastic about.
  2. Commitment: Once you set your professional targets, work with full commitment to achieve them. Have a vision in front of you all times and clear the milestones along the way. Your dedication and motivation should never go off-the-track if you are convinced of the goals you have set for yourself. Whenever you face lack of confidence, remind yourself that you deserve success, and work on building your confidence. In short, focus on accomplishments rather than just performance.
  3. Progress Metering: Once you get on your journey towards achieving your goals, it is crucial that you monitor and gauge your progress along the way. Take notes of the important milestones you achieve and also, their quality and the time span of your progress as well. The minor product or process enhancements sometimes have a dramatic impact on a company’s bottom line. So, do make sure you are clearly aware of the impact your actions have on the organization’s outcome.
  4. Marketing Accomplishments: Promoting your achievements in a justified way is very important. To do that, you need to take a proactive approach towards it, if you are to reap the fullest fruits of your success. Make sure your individual accomplishments are recognized by all the key decision-makers in the organization and particularly those who influence your career progress. It is quite common for credit to be misallocated and for accomplishments to be undervalued or overlooked altogether; so, do not delay singing your own praises.
  5. Professional Networking: Whenever we talk about professional grooming, professional networking plays the most vital role in it. Your success will to a large extent depend on your ability to build alliances and garner the support of others including peers, superiors, subordinates, clients, suppliers and others you interact with on a daily basis to get the job done. Expand the circumference of your professional acquaintances by attending your industry events, seeking to be apportioned at important projects in other divisions of your field and volunteering in high profile activities etc.
  6. Sharpening Skills: Continuous learning is vital to your personal development as well as career success. With every project and activity you complete, chances are that you have learned something new and sharpened a particular skillset. Identify a training path that fills key skills gap, grows your strengths and keeps you at the forefront of whatever you do, so that you do not lose your competitive edge.
  7. Maintaining A Professional Picture: Work on building a good professional picture both within and outside your organization and outside so that you are immediately considered for lucrative new opportunities, are recognized as a competent employee and inspire trust and credibility in broader industry circles. Your professional personality also plays an important role in your career success. Dress, look, sound and surround maintain a positive attitude, successful people who are also known to take their careers seriously.
  8. Effective Communication: Like professional networking, effective communication abilities are also a main cog in the wheel of your career. Learn to get your message across effectively, share your successes, leaning and experiences, maintain a positive dialogue and influence and inspire others. Effective communication skills, including professional writing, active listening, empathic listening, public speaking, effective presenting and good negotiation are all important in determining your career success. Moreover, communicate with your managers regularly and build a good reputation with decision-making executives in your organization who could have a say in your performance and advancement. The more they know you and the more comfortable they are with you, the likelier you are to be elevated to their ranks.

Final Thought: Creating a fulfilling professional life is essential for every individual. Professional fulfillment comes from the feeling that you are making a real difference. The cleaner who keeps the working environment healthy and pleasant is as important as the person who makes the strategic decisions. They are just important differently. Some jobs are in themselves seen as making a positive difference; healthcare and education are good examples. Whatever the organization and its purpose is, it is important that every individual feels that their contribution is valued.

You are bigger than you think

"He who would be serene and pure needs but one thing, detachment."
-- Meister Eckhart

We are the ocean -- vast, deep, powerful and rich. Nourishing and nurturing. Dive down into the dark stillness of being. Sense the rising and falling of surface thoughts and emotions, sometimes gentle, sometimes violent. Always shifting. Always in motion. Draw back and watch the waves of your life at play. Know you are the unfathomable depths -- surface agitations can’t disturb you. Know that you are bigger than the little things that aggravate you.

-- John Berry

"It’s best not to get too excited or too depressed by the ups and downs of life."
